We believe all ducks have the right to life, and so a vital part of our duck rescue provides disabled, less able, or elderly ducks with a forever home as part of our sanctuary. Our aim is to give them a free and happy life whilst they are with us and provide them with the respite, palliative care, or medication they need to keep them well whilst they live out the rest of their days 

 Our ethos centres on creating opportunities for everyone to thrive. Our FLAP volunteer programme offers a supportive space to learn, grow, and build confidence—whether you’re returning to work, managing mental health challenges, or simply ready for a fresh start. Our ethos is to provide a safe and non judgmental space for all our volunteers.

 Sally’s Duck Rescue is a charitable rescue and sanctuary in Marshland St James, helping ducks and other waterfowl of all shapes and sizes. We specialise in providing a forever home for disabled and elderly ducks, while also supporting people through our volunteer and wellbeing programme. What began in our back garden has grown into a place where both ducks and people can thrive.

Our rescue is led and funded by husband and wife team, Sally and Tim, supported by our fabulous Trustees, however it’s our dedicated volunteers who truly keep everything running.   

Our team also includes hundreds of fabulous feathered friends who keep us all on our toes and never without a smile.
